WELCOME

Greetings! Welcome to the website of the Birmingham (AL) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated. Since 1956, the women of the Birmingham Chapter have provided countless hours of volunteer service to the citizens of Jefferson County, Alabama.

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of nearly 14,000 professional women of color in 281 chapters located across the United States and the Bahamas. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

As you peruse though our website, please know that the members of the Birmingham Chapter of the Links are newsmakers, role models, mentors, activists and volunteers who work toward the realization of purposeful service. We are guided by five programmatic service facets, which include:

·         SERVICES TO YOUTH

·         THE ARTS

·         NATIONAL TRENDS AND SERVICES

·         INTERNATIONAL TRENDS AND SERVICES

·         HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES

The Birmingham Chapter of the Links, Incorporated invites you to view our site with anticipation and ways you may become involved through collaborative efforts, donations towards our programs, a sponsorship or attending one of our community events.
